The Cudy AP3000 v1 is an Indoor Wifi6 Ceiling / Wall Access Point with 1x 2.5GB LAN Port. It has 2 antennas for the 2.4GHz band and 3 antennas for the 5GHz band. The Power Option includes 12V DC (1.5A), 802.3at (PoE+) as well as passive PoE. shop listings often call the device with an additional letter P, so “Cudy AP3000_P” is just an alias.
None at this time.
See OEM easy installation for a guide on how to install OpenWrt after unboxing the device
As of Jan 2026, a new variant of AP3000 device was shipped with a different PHY chip (Motorcomm YT8821 2.5GbE) as its only LAN port. This new variant is ONLY supported in version 24.10.6 ; 25.12.0-rc5 and Main Snapshot branch by incorporating commits to include the kmod-phy-motorcomm driver.
It would have been wiser for Cudy to release a v2 version of this device rather than changing the hardware without notifying buyers & users. See more in commit messages: 8d407de and 31f30f5

Since a new variant of AP3000 device has been released with Motocomm YT8821 2.5GbE PHY chip, the previous Cudy-signed OpenWrt Transition image for AP3000 -cannot- support the new variant according to this GitHub comment.
Please make sure to use a newer version (20260224) of Transition image with YT8821 support as noted in this separate GitHub comment. As of April 2026, this version has already been uploaded to Cudy's Google Drive.
Alternatively, use the TFTP method by first upgrading to latest Stock Firmware.

TFTP is only available since Stock Firmware Version 2.4.7 (28-Jan-2026). It is necessary to upgrade the stock firmware first in order to access the new U-Boot with TFTPD function.

The failsafe mode has the limitation of only working with IPv6. You need to find out the IPv6 link-local address of your specific device in order to reach it. IPv4 is not working, likely due to a bug, as there is no IPv4 address set on the lan interface when in failsafe mode
→ Basic configuration After flashing, proceed with this.
Set up your Internet connection, configure wireless, configure USB port, etc.
The default network configuration is:
